Plum Organics is recalling its apple- and carrot-flavored baby food for fear of botulism poisoning. The California-based company announced the recall Tuesday morning, saying the product did not meet FDA requirements.
Botulism is a rare, serious paralytic illness. So far, no illnesses have been reported.
The baby food is sold in Toys “R” Us and Babies “R” Us stores. The recalled product is 4.22-ounce pouches, with a “best by” date of May 21, 2010. The UPC is 890180001221.
