Emmaus Halloween Parade 2009 Rescheduled

Due to inclement weather, the 2009 Emmaus Halloween Parade and Halloween 5K Race is CANCELLED for tonight, Saturday, October 17. The Halloween 5K Race and the Halloween Parade will be held on Monday, October 19, 2009. The Race will begin at 7:00 p.m. and the Halloween Parade will begin at 7:30 p.m. See you there!!

The Emmaus Halloween Parade is scheduled for Saturday, October 17 at 7:30 p.m., with a rain date of Monday, October 19 at 7:30 p.m. All entrants must be registered for the parade. Registration forms are available on the Borough website and in Town Hall. The deadline for registration for bands is October 1. Other participants must register by October 7.

Boos and Brews Halloween Dance and Beer Tasting – October 31st at the Emmaus VFW.

Join us for the frightfully fun 3rd annual Halloween Party, which now includes beer tasting! A number of handcrafted brewers produce morbidly mouthwatering beers suited perfectly for All Hallows’ Eve. The tasting begins at 6 p.m. followed by our Annual Halloween Dance Party with lively music from a ghoulish DJ. Attend in costume inspired by your favorite ghoul – or not! Throughout the evening awards will be given for best costume. Cost for the event is $10.00. The evening promises to be spooktacular time!

Tattered Flag Disposal

Do you have an American Flag that is torn or tattered from the elements and you don’t know how to dispose of it? A bin sits in the lobby of Borough Hall, compliments of Frank Sadrovitz, for just this purpose. Please deposit used flags in the bin and show your respect for “Old Glory”.

In 2009 Money Magazine ranked Emmaus as the 88th best place to live in the country. Using objective criteria, Money Magazine accounted for the Borough’s reasonable housing prices and law crime rate, among other factors, to honor the Borough with its ranking. The Borough thanks all of its residents, businesses and volunteers for making Emmaus one of the finest communities in the country.
