Michelle Fahle, 14-Year-Old Who Died of Swine Flu

Michelle Fahle died suddenly Thursday while suffering from the H1N1 swine flu virus. While H1N1 has yet to be called the cause of death, it appears the illness played a significant role in Fahle’s death.

The 14-year-old suburban Chicago-area girl is now being mourned online on sites such as facebook.com and youtube.com. The YouTube video, posted by user nothingelseicansayxo, features a slideshow of Fahle’s pictures set to the song “Say What You Will,” by Damhnait Doyle. The song was popularly used on the teen television drama Degrassi.

Comments on the R.I.P. Michelle Fahle facebook.com page reveal that not all the Web mourners knew Michelle. Instead her death has elicited an outpouring of support from people all over the Internet.
