Body in River Believed to be Michael Scott

A body found in the Chicago River Monday morning is believed to be that of Michael Scott, the Chicago Public Schools Board President. Police have not positively identified the body. Scott was reported missing earlier and his vehicle was found near the river.

No other details were available. Scott was serving his second stint as president of Chicago Public Schools Board.

He was recently involved in questionable real estate dealings near the would-be sight of the Chicago Olympics. Scott was also subpoenaed to testify before a federal grand jury about the admission practices of Chicago’s elite schools.
