James Van Der Beek Heather McComb Divorce

Dawson’s marriage is up a creek. James Van Der Beek has filed for divorce from his wife, actress Heather McComb, after nearly six years of marriage.

Van Der Beek — best remembered for his portrayal as young aspiring director Dawson Leery on the longrunning WB drama Dawson’s Creek — filed for divorce on the grounds of irreconcilable differences in Los Angeles Superior Court last Friday.

The 32-year-old actor recently appeared in four episodes of One Tree Hill and has starred in films such as Varsity Blues and The Rules of Attraction. Heather has appeared as a supporting actress in several movies and television shows.

The couple were married in July 2003, but have been separated for about five months. They have no children.
