65th Annual Raleigh Christmas Parade will be held today in downtown Raleigh. The event will begin at 9.30 am today. Don’t miss the excitement of the 2009 Raleigh Christmas Parade.

Raleigh Christmas Parade, which is sponsored by WRAL-TV, is the largest parade between Atlanta and Wahington D.C. The event is held annually along Hillsborough Street and various other Raleigh streets every November. The parade is presented by the Greater Raleigh Merchants Association which has presented it every year since 1944.

In its 65th year, 2009 Raleigh Christmas Parade will feature dozens of bands, fantastic floats, marchers, super-sized balloons, twirlers, entertainers and a special surprise North Pole visitor at the end of the parade.
60,000 people are expected to visit the festival and linethe streets in downtown Raleigh today, which begins at 9:30 am.

Parade Route:
Begins on Hillsborough Street at St. Mary’s Street, proceeds to the State Capitol, turns right onto Salisbury Street, turns left onto Morgan St., Turns right onto Fayetteville St and continues to Davie Street where it disbands.
