Zenyatta Breeders Cup 2009 Video

Watch a Video wherein Zenyatta gives hard time in the Breeders’ Cup 2009 to her male opponents. It’s really wonderful to watch Un- be- live – able as the commentator describes it when black beauty Zenyatta becomes the first-ever female winner at Breeders’ Cup Classic at Santa Anita’s Oak Tree.

The tears would be seen rolling down the cheeks of John Shirreffs, Zenyatta trainer while he watched a historic moment from an outer rail at $5 million Breeders’ Cup Classic at Santa Anita’s Oak Tree. The black beauty, unbeaten mare Zenyatta, stole a lost second victory over her male rivals for the first time and everyone present there, went crazy.

The 14th straight victory for Zenyatta brought the joy and emotions together both for the fans and its trainer during the Saturday race when she surprisingly crossed the line although she was nowhere near it for most of the time. The stunning last-to-first victory just seemed to be out of this world and she certainly deserved the cheer and praise from the crowd. No one would ever expect Zenyatta to accelerate from the midway and steel the show.

Zenyatta’s victory over male opponents goes into the record books and now the next thing John Shirreffs would be focusing on, must be the Horse of the Year title she can bring him. Few more wonderful performances like of this, and she’s in. Jockey Mike Smith must be feeling luckily and proud to be on the back of a winner that made history on Saturday.

Later upon asking John Shirreffs described the moment as unbelievable. ‘She is a great, great filly’ he added.
