After utilizing a bleaching cream on his skin and shocking fans with his a lot, much lighter skin colour, Sammy Sosa’s skin has returned back to it’s regular state.
According to the New York Post, the former baseball slugger was observed at a Miami club final week looking like his previous self, and about 10 shades darker.
Last November, Sammy Sosa attended the Latin Grammys seeking very white and told the public his change in colour was due to a cosmetic cream he was utilizing.

The biggest news from last week’s Latin Grammy Awards wasn’t the fact that urban duo Calle 13 won five awards. The biggest news were those photos of a celebrity fan, prompting gasps of “What happened to Sammy Sosa?” as they made their way around the Internet.
In these photos, Sosa’s skin appears several shades lighter than usual, leading to all sorts of Internet speculation.
“He’s not trying to be Michael Jackson,” former Chicago Cubs employee Rebecca Polihronis, who talks frequently with Sosa, told the Chicago Tribune.
“He is going through a rejuvenation process for his skin. Women have it all of the time. He was surprised he came out looking so white. I thought it was a body double. Part of [the photo appearance] is just the lighting.” Polihronis said Sosa told her the photos are deceiving.
“He was doing a dermatological skin process after years and years [of playing baseball] in the sun,” Polihronis said. “It did come out looking weird” in the photos.

Sammy Sosa’s complexion is raising some rumors on the internet today. It’s seems Sosa looked very noticeably paler than just a year ago. Sosa has gone from looking dark to looking similar to the way Michael Jackson did.It is unknown currently if Sosa has some sort of condition or underwent a treatment to make himself paler. This is just one of the few controversies surrounding the great baseball player.
On June 16, 2009 Sosa was on the list of 103 who tested apparently positive for performance-enhancing drugs. Sosa’s attorney testified that in 2004 he tested clean and that Sosa never injected himself ever.
