Monday, October 12th, 2009 4,697 viewsThe Cincinnati Bengals defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer made an emergency call to 911 after arriving home on Thursday night and discovering the lifeless body of his 50-year-old wife Vikki Zimmer.
According to the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office, foul play is not suspected in her death, but officials have not released any further details pending an autopsy.
Bengals president Mike Brown said, “We are stunned and saddened to learn of Vikki’s passing. She was a warm and popular person in the Bengals family, and our immense respect and affection for Mike makes this especially hard. Our hearts go out to Mike and his family.”
Zimmer has been an NFL defensive coordinator for 10-years, joining the Bengals in January 2008.
